BAGHDAD (IRNA) -- Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Hassan Kazemi Qomi said here Monday that Tehran will face no problems in implementing an agreement of transfer oil products to Iraq.

Kazemi Qomi made the remarks during a meeting with Iraqi Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran can supply the fuel needs of Iraq if requested by Baghdad," he said.

He said that a committee would be set up within the next days to implement agreements already signed between the two countries on the subject, adding that "with the creation of the committee it is expected that implementation of agreements already signed between Iran and Iraq" will be facilitated.

Al-Shahristani, for his part, praised efforts made by Iran to supply oil products to his country and called for continuation of Iran's support to his country's fledgling government and expansion of bilateral cooperation.

He expressed his country's determination to export crude oil to Iran and import fuel products from Tehran. Iran and Iraq have signed an agreement for Iran to supply 1,000 metric tons of liquefied gas daily through the Mehran border to Iraq and for Iraq to supply two million tons of white oil to Iran per day through the same border.
